The above picture shows the interest earned through the past year on the ING Direct account, 98% of which are accumulated via 0% credit card balance transfers—and that’s not including other interest earned from Emigrant Direct and HSBC Direct.
Not too shabby.

It seems like more and more people are taking advantage of high interest bank accounts by using 0% credit cards to finance them. It’s a great scheme– and it’s FREE MONEY!
But most people aren’t aware, don’t want the hassle– or don’t have the financial savvy to figure it out. I guess that’s a good thing because if everybody was doing it– 0% credit cards would disappear, or credit card companies (and banks) would find ways to stop this practice.
