Free Disney World Ticket on Birthdays in 2009

For most of us that live out of the Disney World area this isn’t such a great deal, as any savings for cost of a 1-day ticket will quickly be migated by other expenses. Even if you’ve planned a family vacation around a birthday, the deal can also be so-so as price differences are little between multiday tickets.
BUT, if you’re in the area and for whatever reason you’ll like to rock your birthday Disney-style, this may be something to bookmark.
I know Disneyland is not comparable to Disney World, but I live 15 minutes away from Disneyland and have gone to the park more times than I care to count, so I’m not sure how others living near Disney World will also feel about this “deal.”

Disney tickets seems like buying crap to me. I love to take the kids, but I never fool myself that it isn’t buying crap in a big way.

Not buying crap is what affords me the luxury of going to Disney World.
I think it as a great promotion on their end. Negligble on the consumer end unless you happen to be in the area on your birthday. If you live in Florida you most likely have a Florida discount pass anyway so you gain nothing.
