Free Kindle & $5,000 @ IWillTeachYouToBeRich.com
Posted by Cap on March 23, 2009 |
If you haven’t heard, Ramit Sethi, personal finance blogger, kick-your-finances-into-gear extraordinaire, and overall cool guy has published his book, pointedly named “I Will Teach You To Be Rich.”
If you’re already planning to buy the book, join in on Ramit’s giveaway at his site. He’s giving away a Kindle every hour (2 left as of this writing), and a chance to win $1,000 throughout the day from the good folks at Mint. Simply forward your email receipt to iboughtthebook@iwillteachyoutoberich.com and you’ll have a chance to enter in the giveaway. Other prizes and full details can be found at Ramit’s blog.
I haven’t fully read the book yet, but of the chapters I’ve skim across, the book seems to be very solid and contains no-nonsense, straight-forward personal finance advice along with steps that works. Stick around on the personal finance blogsphere and I’m sure in the coming weeks you’ll be seeing reviews popping up on various personal finance blogs.

yeah, for some reason i actually wanted to hate this guy but i really didn’t know why…started the book yesterday and already half way through it! which, if you knew me, is impressive as i have major A.D.D. and i read as fast as an 8 year old.
so yeah, great book :)

yes me too, this guy is totally hate-able.
what’s with someone who is not syaing they will teach you?
like a non-doctor saying i will teach you how to be a doctor.
like a non-pilot saying i will teach you how to be a pilot.
like a non-musician saying i will teach you how to be a musician.
total ego blast i am sure.

I’m about halfway through the book. Some of it is OK, most I have read before.
Luckily I borrowed it from a friend so I didn’t have to pay for it.
That free kindle would have been nice. Maybe I’ll borrow that from a friend too.

its just the title of his blog/book which attracts more attention than “this blog is about sensible personal finance decision to live a rich life”
ill write a review eventually. its on NYT and WSJ bestseller now though. very sweet for Ramit.
