I'm in agreement about taking advantage of all ING has to offer. One thing to keep in mind, if you're going to need a transfer of funds, plan ahead! It can take between 2-4 days to bring funds back out of your account and out them into another bank (Wamu, BofA etc.)
It's still a better interest rate than you'll find in most banking, but always good to know to plan ahead. While the account is electronic, the transfer actually isn't and the time it takes to ensure security can get you in a bind if you haven't made sure that you've got time for the funding to clear. Check with your receiving bank and ING ahead of time to find out how long the process will take for you.

no ING doesn't pay me to pitch their accounts. the orange savings account link is an affiliate link though, so if someone signs up through that I do get a commission. the electric orange link isn't an affiliate link, I'm simply posting this because I saw it on fatwallet and figured many people might have an ING account already, and may be interested in this quick and simple bonus.

dollar savings direct from emigrant is a pretty darn good rate at 4%. i was a bit surprise when emigrant rolled that out as i don't see why they need want to have two different high-yield online savings product, but I suppose they're trying to capture the market with higher balance.

I actually had a pretty terrible experience with emigrant direct about 2 years ago, but I'm aware that the experience I had was sort of a results will vary ordeal.

speaking of other fairly high yield, <a href="http://www.bargaineering.com/articles/top-5-online-banks-savings-or-checking-accounts.html" rel="nofollow">everbank</a> is offering a 4.65% teaser 3 month rate.

in either case, it'll be interesting to see how some of these rate hold as the market plays out..

personally, unless an account is offering you a percentage or more, and you're holding significant amount of cash.. it may not be worthwhile to rate chase.
