I have to say that Jonathan had a similar influence on me. I was browsing his blog and was compelled to implement some of the strategies he had to manage his finances. Since then, I’ve started my own! It’s been so long!

When I first heard of blogs, I thought “who in the world would want to sit there and read about someone else’s life?” Then I found this blog from an article I read on yahoo? finance i think (don’t really remember where the article came from). And I got hooked on the pf blogs.

I like the fact that these are people that share their knowledge because they want to, not because they are getting paid and have a deadline. You can say whatever you want and no one cares. It makes it more believable and real (of course when it comes to money you take all opinions as opinions and don’t make any financially based decisions until you’ve researched it thoroughly).

I guess blogs are kinda like reality shows in the internet world. I have even branched out to write my own little insignificant pf blog. I mostly do it because I enjoy writing and finance. I don’t even really care if anyone reads it. So what’s uupppp.

Actually, I don’t know about being cool, but yeah it’s just a little bit less weird to say that you blog. Certainly not what I do for a living, but yeah. I think you guys know what I mean. heh.

I would also agree, NOW being a blogger is cool. When I first heard that word about 3 years ago. I said the same thing, “WTF is that?” Now I am proud of the word.

As you said people indirectly and directly influence your life in the pf community. I am proud to be a blogger and as years go by that word will no longer be embarrassing :)
