i hate that too. i'm usually the ticket-pimp at concerts. i buy the tickets for everyone in advance and they pay me the day of the show. the cash given to me is spent (perhaps on merch at the venue) or other various purchases throughout that week but never put back as a payment on the credit card.

does that mean I wouldn't have taken a cash withdrawl out later and spent that anyways? who knows, just makes me want to delegate someone else to take pimping responsibility now.

That's one of my pet peeves. A guy I know claims he forgot his wallet on purpose at the checkout counter and asks other people to pay. I felt sorry for him and paid once with a gift card that had little left. What did the sorry punk do? He cut me in line after I gave him the giftcard to pay and paid for his purchase first/only then handed me the giftcard to pay for my own.

I learned my lesson and rarely pay for anyone regardless-- "forgotten" wallet or not. People forget it.. I either am "broke" myself with a dollar left or, if they tell me before we have gotten our items (e.g. Subway sandwiches), I say "nevermind.. maybe next time." I'm not THAT cheap/reasonable/etc. but this kid "forgets" his wallet all the time (I once noticed he pulled a credit card out of his pocket when none of his friends paid another time he "forgot his wallet"). A

re many people really that scumbbaggish that they pawn off their bills on their friends all the time? Sheesh.

Have them send you a check that you have to deposit into the banking account :P. Use bill pay feature to save on stamp. USAA has postage paid deposit program, where I can just mail the checks to my bank account, no need to go to the bank :)

Personally, I use cash only at places around work that don't take credit. Otherwise it goes into my bank acct.
