Funnily enough, I’ve seen a few “courses by the gurus” where they say this is what helps close the sale!
It takes all types to make the world - maybe there’s beauty in that to some beholder.

yeah exactly, I’ve came across a few that seems to have a model for the “ugly design” deal. I’ve read articles before about ugly site that makes money, but I don’t know about ugly site that sells information. Perhaps giving off some mom-n-pop, personal feel to the site? Like, this is a real human trying to share his secret to you, and you better get in on it before the world finds out!!
*shrug* must work to an extent I guess.

Those folks know exactly what they’re doing and they know those sort of things are what convert visitors, I dunno why, but it does. Remember, the target audience isn’t you, me or someone who is savvy - it’s everyone else.
