Okay folks, I was talked into making Paula Dean’s Krispy Kreme “bread pudding” for the holiday pig-out at the office … (ITS WICKED GOOD) and off I went to the not-so-local KK shop .. they have a special – AFTER 5pm buy one dozen, get 2nd dozen regular glazed for 99 cents!! NOT BAD! I can give all my co-workers a sugar coated heart attack ;) j/k .. but they are yummy if you can manage to eat just one ….

OK… Here’s the deal. At least at Krispy Kreme you can still get a trans-fat-laden, cream-filled heart-attack-on-a-plate if you really want one. Try eating something with trans fat at KFC… or most fast food joints for that matter… Even girl scout cookies took the trans fat out so those with no will power could still eat the whole box and not kill over! Use some discretion people so those of us with some will power can enjoy a good donut a couple of times a year!

The plain Krispy Kremes I can do without,
though as a spelling policeman I hate the
signs, LoL. The filled Krispy Kremes are
the insidious ones….

Well I think that they are the worst doughnuts around. So this doesn’t apply to me. On the other hand I do like other doughnut shops. So maybe I do need some help. One only knows what one will do for a crappy doughnut.

I grew up in the heart of KKD/NASCAR country, Winston-Salem, N.C., and I couldn’t decide which pervasive odor was harder to take, that of processed tobacco or doughnut baking. Both will kill you by degrees, but at least the latter tastes pretty good.
