Avenger was just wrong. The movie may not be the newest [insert awesome movie here because my mind is blank], but it’s quite gripping. Of course, I’d read a number of the comics it was based on. Was definitely worth seeing at least once in the theater.

I think it’s so popular that some people are either disappointed or are trying to be all cool by dissing it.

The Main Street Avenger said, “Outside of the usual entertainment media, the consensus from the general public is that this new movie is a plotless, terribly acted rip-off waste of money and 3 hours of your viewing life, so that tells me I should keep hold of my cash and wait for something else better to come along. No contest.”

Hmmm, after two weeks, the “general public” is buying enough tickets to perhaps bush Batman past the all-time money maker Titanic.

So has the public changed its mind, and fallen in love with Batman, in the two weeks since the Avenger published his comment, or was the Avenger just wrong?

BatMan was great. $5 matinee is great! There were around 10 people in the theatre I went to on a Sunday afternoon. $150 is too much to pay for a ticket to see movie, even if it is the best one I’ve seen in a long while.

Cuz I’m sure that girl REALLY likes you, if you have to lure her with $150 Batman tickets. I guess the $14 IMAX ones aren’t good enough (then neither is she).

This guy will be lamenting how women “use” him soon enough.

And really, TEXTING someone for a date, that’s pretty weak.

I have never been a big fan of comics, or super hero movies, but I saw the last b/c of Bale and I really enjoyed the film. I’d like to see this one too but there is no way I’d pay that much for anything other than plane tickets. I am able to wait a few weeks.

People are nuts. I took a half day off from work (with pay) and went to a matinee. There were about 20 people in the theatre.

I really liked the movie. Gary Oldman was great, Heath Ledger scared the poop outta me, and Christian Bale was, well Batman, in what is probably the best incarnation of the series ever.

My best friend and I are going to DK sunday for the $5 matinee – I like big screens for big movies.

Wanted was plotless… but what do you expect from summer blockbusters… art films are for the school season.
