For example, I bought a pineapple at Costco for $2.29. At Safeway, they were selling cut pineapple wedges (about a third of a whole pineapple in each container) for $3.99 per container. Another example is the pre-made spinach salad. You can get 8 oz. for 3.99 or a whole bunch (about 2-3 times more) for between $2-$3. Granted, these are Hawaii prices so they probably sound a bit high. But I imagine the difference in price is the same everywhere. Oh! and if you get your fruits and veggies at the farmer's market, it's even cheaper! I don’t think this is a stupid post. You’re right, you should be blogging more! :)
