Mountain View, CA for the Summer? Yes Please.
Posted by Cap in Updates |
I had a few option for the summer:
- Take more summer courses than I’d like and study my bum bum off.
- Get an awesome job and work my bum bum off.
- Blow more of my savings and travel my bum bum off.
At the end, I went with option #2 (and most likely a bit of 1 & 3 too).
For the summer, you will find me uprooted from Orange County and shipped to Mountain View, California — working at the very neato MyMint.com.
Ah… lazy o’ me finally tricked some people into hiring me (just kidding please don’t fire me).

Welcome to the bay! I grew up next to Mountain View and know the area well, so let me know if you have questions about housing, where to get/do whatever, etc.

since this is a start up internet company, are you actually making money considering travel/living expenses away from home? just curious.

boy, everyone lives there. thanks for the offer Dan, you may see emails during odd times in summer with subject lines of: “where do I go to get a good basket of fish & chips”
Jodi: yeah the paid will take care of living expenses so it should be a good learning experience for me. btw, haven’t reply to your other question in the other post yet, sorry about that.

So what exactly is this MyMint.com anyways? I’ve seen a few bloggers mention it, but no one actually says what it will do. Heck, the website doesn’t even say anything other than “it will be super cool”.
Though I guess I just bought into their viral marketing… sigh…

actually there was a few post in the mint’s blog concerning more with what mint does. but in short, mint is a free online personal finance tool that helps you save money by making smarter decisions.
you can read a bit more about mint’s inception and features here.
