Second Economic Stimulus Check: What will you do with yours?
Posted by Cap on November 7, 2008 |
I was just watching President-Elect Obama’s press conference and he directly responded to a reporter’s question by stating that a second economic stimulus package and check will happen. If you’ve been following the news, you would notice that House Dems have been pushing for a second package in recent months, and it looks like if it doesn’t happen by year-end, our President-Elect will make it happen while he’s in office.
Regardless of how you feel about the effectiveness of these “stimulus” packages and the current political divisiveness of this country, what will you do with your second stimulus check if you were to receive one?
A quick reminder: please do not budget your finances expecting the second stimulus check.

If I received another stimulus check, I will most likely do what I did with the first one — pay down debt.
November 7th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
Sounds good. If the criteria is the same as the first one, I will probably get one and just save it, like I did with the first one. Super exciting stuff… heh.
November 7th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Hmmm, we have 2 expensive but necessary (sort of) things coming up. We need to get braces for our child, and we’ve been in need of a 1/2 bathroom in our basement (7 people + 1 bathroom on the weekends). We’ve got the money saved up for one or the other, so I suppose if we get stimulus money, that will go towards expensive project #2 (the bathroom – the braces are the priority).
November 7th, 2008 at 2:31 pm
Didn’t get the last one, don’t imagine I’ll get the next one. They need to index the income cut-off to cost of living, someone making $100k living in NY City is barely middle class.
November 7th, 2008 at 10:36 pm
Gets treated as regular income and goes into my HSBC high interest savings account. I treat it like a bonus at work, it’s nice but I don’t change my spending based on it.
November 8th, 2008 at 9:56 am
just another redistribution of wealth. Give my money to someone “more deserving”
November 8th, 2008 at 11:28 am
Probably buy some stocks while they are still down. If the stimulus package actually works, maybe I can make a nice profit.
November 8th, 2008 at 2:46 pm
It’s discouraging, but mine will go right back to government of some form when it comes to paying taxes.
November 8th, 2008 at 5:22 pm
I’ll save mine. The factory owners in China, India, etc. are already salivating
November 8th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
going to get another vehicle so htat my wife and i can stop worrying about when we can work. we both have fulltime jobs but are at different times of the day. and then we’ll spend it on daycare.
November 8th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
more freaking taxes to pay. so whats the freaking point . almost like coupon, just lower that damn prices an waste less paper an bull shit
November 8th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
maybe people wouldn’t have to scury around like little mice hunting for left over crumbs.. damn sicking if ya ask me
November 9th, 2008 at 10:01 am
To bad we end up paying back more money to pay for the package. Someone made a comment to me saying free money I instantly stated “No not free it comes out of our pockets somewhere. Don’t believe the political BS machine.”
November 9th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
I would put it into some type of investment vehicle or back into my websites.
November 10th, 2008 at 7:22 am
I would buy my kids a few winter clothes as well as myself. Also maybe a few gifts for each of them as well. The rest go big food shopping
November 10th, 2008 at 8:41 am
I would pay the back taxes I owe to the State of Ohio, then the fees to sit for my licensing exam. If there is any money left over, maybe I’d treat myself to a new plunger.
November 10th, 2008 at 8:57 am
Hahahahah. I got zippo from #1, I expect zippo from #2.
My girlfriend got a whole $69.
That’s okay, no need for me to get anything back for all those taxes I pay. I might actually do something smart with it, like invest, pay off bills or somesuch silliness. They don’t want to give it to me because I might not go out and blow it.
November 10th, 2008 at 12:42 pm
I will save it just got married and all I had saved is now gone. I might even invest this time… By the way some of these comments are funny!!!!!!:)
November 10th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
I would put it toward another vehicle to help my husband commute to work once he finds something. It is mind boggling that they can turn you away because you are over-qualified for the position. But yet, nothing in your field is available. Then denying you unemployment in which you had already paid into! This check would help my family and others around us tremendously!
November 10th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
Well The first check I waited about 3 weeks longer than I was supposed to then when I finally did receive it I had to spend it on bills that were past due! I think that it is a good idea but when will we know for sure? I would hate to sit and wait for it and base the money that I spend on something that is unsure! I think that the government gives help to people that are unwilling to do anything for themselves! But I think that it’s about time the Government gave a shit about the middle class people who do work for every last penny they have and are just looking for a little push to get a head with these uncertain economic times!
November 10th, 2008 at 11:15 pm
pay some bills with half of it, spend the other half
November 11th, 2008 at 6:20 am
Go to the bar.
November 11th, 2008 at 9:20 am
I would pay down debt and buy lots of groceries for the coming winter.
I liek the bar comment also!
November 11th, 2008 at 9:34 am
Probably buy a gun for the up coming riots we will have.. Just a joke (I hope) but I would pay of debt what else.
November 11th, 2008 at 11:52 am
If they are serious about giving taxpayer money back to taxpayers to stimulate the economy, they need to give it to us in a different form.
Checks will be used by many to either put in a savings account or pay down debt (this is not bad… debt is why we are in situation to begin with). If they want stimulous, they need to give it to us in the form of a “gift card” preloaded with the amount of stimulous they want each individual or family to have. These cards can be used whereever debit cards (notice I did not say CREDIT) are accepted. That way we have no choise but to put the money back into the economy vs. saving it or paying off old debt.
November 11th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
I would probably hang on to it for awhile to make sure we can continue to make ends meet and if we don’t end up needing it for regular expenses after several months or a year, then I will spend it on either cross stitch supplies or framing or miscellaneous stuff my husband or I may want or just continue saving it until we have a little more money still and use it for either home renovations or a vacation.
November 11th, 2008 at 7:24 pm
I will pay rent with it because I am kind of behind right now but not really. I made an aggreement with landlord because came into a down fall but I would pay an extra month just to catch up. And if I get it before Christmas I will buy my 7 month old babygirl new clothes and lots of toys, diapers, wiped and formula. And whatever else she may need.
November 11th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
I would do repairs on my house that insurance didn’t cover (Thank you Ike) The rest I will buy Christmas gifts for my family. Isn’t that what we are supposed to do?
I think that all that money they are giving the banks they should send to us instead. The banks are ripping off the American People enough, do they have to rip of the Government too?
November 11th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
I would catch up my car payment. I am a single mother of 3 and sometimes you have to rob peter to pay paul and it gets hard at times to make ends meat. It would certainly help alot.
November 11th, 2008 at 11:19 pm
when will we know about the second stimulus check.we can us it to pay our bills.
November 12th, 2008 at 6:32 am
Well I only wish I had recieved the first check. I am 37 and on social security disability, filed for the first check and never recieved it. I am not one of those people who gets social security for being an alcoholic or drug addic, (had to say cause I know people will say owe she is one of thoughs that gets our money for free). I would if I got a first or second check pay the two months rent I am behind, and try to get some clothing and food into my home. And what the heck yeah I am honest I may evan go out buy me one of them there scratch off lottery tickets!!!!!!
November 12th, 2008 at 9:55 am
I will pay on bills if I get another stimulus check. I have already been working hard to get out of debt…so this would help alot.
November 12th, 2008 at 10:18 am
My husband is a contractor and work is slow right now. So Im sure it wont be long before we are having to max out our credit cards and juggle our bills just to make ends meet. So Im sure we would use most of it for bills and it would also be nice to restock the freezer in case this winter is bad. If it helps anyone, we just received a thing in the mail from H&R Block. They are starting their Emerald Card loan program(you get a little of your tax refund early). Maybe this will help some of you to get through the holidays.
November 12th, 2008 at 11:18 am
I think that we need a second stimulus check. I am a single mother currently working 25 hours a week at K-mart after a 9 month unemployment period. I lost my job due to company closure. Now I am struggling to survive. How do I tell my 8 year old daughter that Santa isnt comming this year? I do what I can with what little money I have. If I received a second stimuls check, I would for sure put it back into the economy. The main reason the last check didnt boost the economy was because the people who needed it used it for bills, food, and things like back rent. Those who didnt need it, saved it. Where as, this time around, I think more people would spend it. Tis the season for spending. It’s unfortunate, but our family won’t be having much of a christmas without a little help. Too bad if a second stimulus is passed, it probably wont be intime for Christmas.
November 12th, 2008 at 1:41 pm
I Would use it for my kids christmas. I am from LA. and we just was hit by two hurricanes. I was not able to get any help on all the food and belongings that i lost so for me to replace them i had to spend all of my money that was saved . Now it is very hard to make ends meet. So i am hoping to get a stimilus check.
November 12th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
i would definately use mine for xmas shopping if we got it in time and i know tons of people who plan the same.if we are gonna get another one this would be the smart time to give it when people are in the mindset of xmas shopping.
November 12th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
If we do get the check I will probably go out and blow it on a bunch of VW beetle parts. I have rebuilt a few of them and am in need of a few quick bucks to put this vert back on the road. It pays off in the long run cause the cars are super cool and get great gas mileage, but it seems as of now milage don’t mean anything cause gas is coming down…maybe I’ll by a big ole gas tank and fill it up with cheap gas?? That might be the ticket…or maybe I’ll just get hammered for a couple of days in vegas??? What options! Aint American Great!!!!!!!!
November 12th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
If I got a check it would be fantastic to go and get a playstation 3 or x-box 360 possibly new rims and tires for my car cuz right now I can’t afford any extra materialistic items…
too bad for those hospital bills I got
November 12th, 2008 at 10:28 pm
I’d buy a gun,gas up my SUV,and order that “I’LL HAVE WHAT AL GORE’S SMOKING” t-shirt I’ve been wanting. That should tick off the liberal socialist morons!
November 13th, 2008 at 8:04 am
Bills.
November 16th, 2008 at 12:48 am
I am a single male that according to IRS only qualified for $285 for the first stimulus check that when I get it will almost pay one months electric bill. By the time they work out who and how much you get it will change from what they announce to start with. I find it very hard to see how giving me back $285 does anythng to help me support economic growth. Our leaders need to fix the economy with the trillions we pay in taxs instead of giving tokens to make us feel like they care. Refunding a tad to each of us again won’t fix the problems facing us.
November 16th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
Go to bar, buy car, build bathrooms you people are pathetic really. Wah wah i can hardly afford food for my family or my newborn right now w/ me and my wife working full time and her going to school full time. Video games? you guys make me barf. If you think it’s a waste of money why dont you give me your check and ill buy food for my family.
November 16th, 2008 at 10:02 pm
I WOULD SPEND IT ON MY DAUGHTER
November 17th, 2008 at 2:13 pm
I’d use my check, if we actually get one in the near future, to catch up on my bills, which r behind a couple months- and I work a 60 hr wrk week plus my husbands’ 40 hr wrk week. This economy is sucking us dry.
November 17th, 2008 at 3:33 pm
It will just be a blessing just to get a little back before the holidays…I was laid off from the State and am going back to school @ night….the one income has hurt us terribly…but we are fortunate to still have what we do….We will most likely save a portion of it and use the other to catch up on bills. Again, it will just help us to stay above water another month or two.
November 17th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
I would definately use it to get my 3 children presents for Christmas and some badly needed school uniforms. It’s a shame that even at this hard economic time the “hard working class” still can’t get assistance because we “make too much.” Please tell me what “making too much money” is when I still have to live paycheck to paycheck and choose between buying food for the house or paying my car note to avoid repossession or paying the utilities to avoid being in the dark, cold, and waterless. They should’ve just dispersed those billion dollar stimulus packages evenly to each family and these companies would still be bailed out because the money would’ve gone to pay bills, save homes from foreclosure, purchase items, etc.
November 18th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
I would spend it on my children. As a single mom of 5, I could sure put it to good use!
November 18th, 2008 at 9:45 pm
Have two kids and no money just lying around for christmas. So I’d have to say I’d make a trip to KB toys.
November 19th, 2008 at 10:21 pm
Im 22yrs old and have a 1 year old daughter and a 1 month old daughter. My mother, whom I lived with my whole life just passed away in may so this christmas will be extremely hard since i am residing with family at the time. I will take every penny of that check and spend it on my daughters for christmas. They deserve it. It would help alot of people.
November 20th, 2008 at 9:50 am
Just Do it
November 21st, 2008 at 5:39 pm
Considering I am Unemployed and can’t find a job, I will use mine to try and live my day to day life. Like buying gas and food and paying some bills. You know since unemployment wants to dick around!!!!!
November 21st, 2008 at 8:51 pm
Hopefully I’ll be able to do some Christmas shopping with this second check. I do understand the checks are suppose to arrive for the Christmas Holidays…
It sure would be nice.
November 22nd, 2008 at 1:20 pm
i hope we get another stimulus package, if so im buying some things to keep my car running for years to come…and im using the rest to buy my mom a new dildo for christmas…the other one has so much build up around the base, its so nasty…shes in desperate need of another rubber friend :)
November 22nd, 2008 at 3:23 pm
Some of you people are stupid I’m sorry and if you didn’t get one before it’s either cause you didn’t work enough or You make, To much fucking money anyway, and you don’t need it. I got one it helped me for sure and because I always get a couple 1000 back for taxes I really don’t care if the Irs taxes a little of my 900 I got for me and my child. So grow up and just take what ever you can get and quit bitching about it no matter what happens you just can’t please some people.
November 24th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
I think another check would help. With the way things are now everyone is struggling to keep their head above water. I would use mine to pay up on some bills. Things are ridiculous now and for those who don’t want one or think it is not a good idea that is more than likely because they have the money to stay a float. Think about those who are loosing everything that they have, think about those who have lost their jobs or been laid off with no return date, THINK ABOUT SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOURSELVES!
November 25th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
For those of you planning on saving your check:
The hole idea for a stimulus check is to spend it so we can have the economy running. If you save your check then there is really no reason for you to receive a check. We are in an economical crisis and we need to have money going around.
November 25th, 2008 at 11:17 pm
I would use the check to pay of my rent I owe, so I can have a place to live for both of my kids…. its real hard right now with all the crisis that is going on……
November 25th, 2008 at 11:38 pm
It is really funny to hear some people say that they are going to save the money. Don’t you savers have anything better to do with your lives. Go have fun. The stimulus is a good idea in theory only. I personally think that this is just going to make things worse but I do welcome the money. I am going to spend it on fun things for my kids. We might go to Sea World or go to Wal-Mart. If it is in time for Christmas I will be buying lots of gifts for my family and some close friends. I understand the people that are wanting to pay bill and things and I am one of them, but everyone needs to have some fun. Even if it going for a long drive and getting some ice cream. If some of you can’t find work and need to pay bills try going into the forces. You will have a paycheck every month and a job for at least 4 years. You also get to travel around the world and maybe see some very cool things. Those people that are going to buy guns, that is a very good idea we are going to need them.
November 26th, 2008 at 1:09 am
Im an out of work single mom who has a degree but am not given a second look due to the color of my skin, so enough said I will apply the check to buying my family needs like shoes, and clothes for the winter. I will be greatly appreciated if we do get one…I am glad people would like to donate theirs that is a great humane thing to do. People in this economy are starving worst than me, so it is good that Obama send a second check to those in need!
November 26th, 2008 at 4:55 pm
Honestly the first one we paid on bills and only a little of it went to the spending. The second one will go to finish paying for my sons opperation that he needs and then on bills unless I can get another job to make up forthe ones I was layed off from.
November 27th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
I would spend it, I need & want many items, have not been able to keep things up to my standard
I would make a concerted effort to not purchase things made overseas but esp China
November 27th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
single mom: comment above:
you really need to get over yourself.
you are not missing out on everything b/c of the color of your skin. its your energy.
December 1st, 2008 at 10:21 am
Don’t think about party just check out Fairtax.org.
Instead of stimulating once or twice a year how about every month receiving money to buy your basic needs. Every paycheck keeping your money no payroll, fica, medicare or federal taxes taken out. Money will be paid to the federal government like some states receive theirs through any new goods and services transactions. NO INCOME TAX no filing income tax papers (don’t worry the prebate more than makes up for any EITC tax refunds). I am a single mother of 2 barely above the poverty level. If passed I would use the monthly est. $429 for my family size and income to pay off some of my current debts. I see that in a year I would have paid MOST of my debts off then I could really help stimulate the economy and my bank account. We have to get back to the basics of saving but without any money left over who can do that as is now stands.
December 1st, 2008 at 5:05 pm
A second stimulus check would be beneficial to most
people since the unemployment rate is on the rise,
and other expenses rise. I would put my stimulus check towards debt to get caught up.
December 2nd, 2008 at 10:22 am
What are you waiting for??? Christmas????
December 2nd, 2008 at 9:15 pm
I would buy my kids a present or two and buy some food, then save the rest.
December 2nd, 2008 at 10:19 pm
im married with 4 children 3 still living in the home
December 2nd, 2008 at 10:32 pm
any ways i work 40 hours a week 10 dollars hr my wife works 40 hours a week 9.5 dollars hr add up our checks after taxes taken out for the whole month our bills rent, utilities, food, car, insurance we might have a 100 dollars left to spend no credit cards no car payments we dont have those expenses we just work to live if we go out its because we dont pay a utility the last stimulus check we paid bills but we got to spend about a quater of it on fun and i think we bought a couple of dvd movies
December 2nd, 2008 at 10:40 pm
not complaining i just think we give our taxes to the government when we get our pay checks every payday well i think its time we get to have some fun with our own money instead of bills, bills, bills all the time anyway i hope something good happends with our economy
December 3rd, 2008 at 10:18 pm
If I got another check I could buy some much needed material for my home . We were residing my mobil home when My husband was hurt and could not wok . Then when he got back to work ,no one had any money to work with.
He is a contracter and it takes money to make money . So it would be a twofold blessing for me and the econonmy.
December 4th, 2008 at 8:13 am
I’d go to the casino.
December 4th, 2008 at 12:13 pm
continue to get bills caught from IKE
December 4th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
I will pay off some debt and go shopping for things we need for out house!
December 7th, 2008 at 11:35 pm
here is the funny thing, the us is spending all this money to bail out companies and slapping the average person with 600 bux. they are spanding an excess of 750 billion dollers. if you took the total population us the us that earns an income and pays taxes, gave every one of them 1 million dollers, that your only cost 30 billion and i believe that would boost the econimy like crazy, lol, what ya’ll think
December 11th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
i would get an eightball and bang some hookers
December 12th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
If I were to recieve another stimulus check I would spend it on my childrens. With Christmas weeks away and bills don’t stop coming. With the way wages are going it would be a great thing for people right now because every little help.I know that my family would really appreciate it.Thanking you in advance.
BLESS THIS WORLD AND OUR NEW PRESIDENT
December 14th, 2008 at 8:56 am
i would be and am now thankful for any help the government could give.not only would my family spend it we sure could use it.not only do we have dept but are bills r getting bigger.go Obama!!!!
December 16th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
I will build a rocket and point it at my neighbor’s house.
December 16th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
I think for the second stimulus check the people who got the small checks (people on social security etc.) should get the larger checks. They are the ones who need it most. Basically, spread the wealth around.
December 18th, 2008 at 10:18 am
Man I can sure use another one about now, I paid down my debt, bought food/pet food and gas, went rather quickly, but it did help me alot.
December 19th, 2008 at 9:42 am
I thank they really need to give the hard working people of america another stimulus check because that’s the only way the economy is going to get better. also if the government do some investagaing on all these reach white people in the world, they will find out that they are no longer putting their money banks and investing their money so the government can tax them and that will put more money in the economy. Instead theyb are keeping their money at home and everybody else is working hard getting their money taxed. The government ain’t doing nothing but taking from the already poor. That’s why the economy ain’t never going no where until they make them do something other than sitting on it at home. Hell, the government makes everybody else do what they want them to do. So why not make them give up some of that money. They took it from those who weren’t able to fight for their rights anyway. That’s what I think about that subject. They ain’t gon’ let Obama pass another stimulus check bill because they got the money and the power. So why not investigate to see where ll of them got this money from anyway because it’s ours.
December 19th, 2008 at 5:30 pm
Pay on bills, buy groceries and if it is enough, help my son out with a deposit who is going away to school in Nashville in June 09.
December 22nd, 2008 at 8:00 pm
Actually Millard, if everyone in the US got $1 million it would cost $300 trillion. That’s a whole lot more the $30 billion.
December 26th, 2008 at 11:27 pm
Anthor stimulus check would be great. Our family could then recooperate from Christmas. We would use our on basic things such as stocking up on groceries, household supplies, and clothing for us (the parents). There are also a few things that we’d like to do around the house. There’s not much that you can really do with that little bite of money. People sit back and think that we are getting such a BIG check. The way the economy has been in the last year or so, that check only help a little and/or hinders some. Now, if they give us the stimulus check (not taxed) plus give us some type break on the upcoming income tax…….we may be able to get some things together.
December 29th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Another check will be great I will do like I did the 1st one THANK GOD !!!!!
January 2nd, 2009 at 9:06 pm
I would spend it of course! Thats what we need to do with it. Fixing this crisis we are in means we should not have bailed out huge corporations, instead, they should have distributed the 750billion throughout the families of the united states because we would have put it right back into the smaller comanies by buying CRAP! Honestly, the TRICKLE down economic plan has not worked and will not work with these a-holes paying themselves huge bonuses, while the rest of us struggle!? WHAT? UGH. Help your OWN people out AMERICAN GOVERNMENT for crying out loud! Obama, you say you know what its like to struggle, lets see a firm answer and a ridiculously LARGE stimulus check! We the people, can get us out of this rut…
January 4th, 2009 at 7:41 am
I will put the money to getting my family a vehicle as ours don’t work anymore.
January 5th, 2009 at 9:47 am
Here is a best case scenario which would never happen…
Give each taxpayer with a gross income of say $150,000-$200,000 or less a stimulus check of $100,000. That amount would be comparable or less than what has been given to the banks & automakers. The average person would actually be able to: Pay off credit debt, pay on a mortgage, put a down payment on a property, use it as a small budsiness startup fund, put it in savings…or actually help stimulate the economy by…buying a car or buying goods! The small checks of $600 or $1200 are nice…but in the real world are of little value to stimulate an economy.
January 8th, 2009 at 7:59 am
Well…unfortunately I would have to pay down debt…we are barely surviving with two kids, a mortgage that keeps going up due to taxes, daycare every week, two car payments, credit cards, which were used for groceries and gas at $4/gal…granted its now below $2/gal but we are still hurting from before. We are usually left with less than $100 a month for food and gas to get to work. Its been hot dogs and mac and cheese for dinner every night for awhile now. Then if there were enough left over, I would pay back my childrens college funds that we drained. It wasn’t much, being one is Two and the other is only 2 months…but it would be nice to know they will be able to have something to help pay for it. We have tried for financial aid but aparently we make to much, ignoring the fact that we live paycheck to paycheck and all of our money goes to bills…ugh…I hope we get a nice stimulus package this go around. If not, we most definately will go under.
Oh and why does the government help those who refuse to work, sittin on their lazy asses collecting paychecks, when there are people out there working as much as they can, barely making it, get nothing because they “make too much”…the whole system is set up to fail.

There are many great comments here but some really get under my skin. The anonymous comment about rich (spelled reach) white people being investigated really shows a lack of character for whomever wrote that. I am an African American citizen and I do make to much money to receive a stimulus check. Just so you know Mr. or Ms. Anonymous, white folks aren’t the only rich people in the world and those that are being investigated are being done so for good cause. Besides, if the government didn’t investigate these rich white people then others like you would whine that things weren’t being done fairly.
Please people, just because we have a black President now, don’t make things about race… this is every Americans chance to stand together as one!
If I were to receive a stimulus check I would find a family in need and buy them groceries and clothing and whatever else they needed. It may be one day that I may need help and they always say that what comes aroung goes around.

When it comes to times of trials there are no color boundaries. Black as well as white people know how it hurts not to have enough money to get the basic needs in life met. In this country, we need to stand together in order for all of us as Americans to do more than just survive, but to strive for the excellence that has been expected of us as Americans. We can turn this economy around, with a bit of hard work, prayer and determination that made us stand apart from other countries in this world. If we got back to basic morals and standards that built this country, I’m sure we can bring it back from the brink of disaster.

FUNNY ASS COMMENTS ON HERE… BUT ANYWAYS IF I RECIEVE ONE I WILL DO THE SAME THING.. TAKE MY CHILDREN SHOPPING FOR CLOTHES… MAYBE THROW A FEW DOLLARS TOWARDS BILLS. IVE HAVE WORKED TWO JOBS FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS RAISING MY THREE CHILDREN ON MY OWN WITH NO HELP FROM THE CHILDRENS FATHERS. WORKING THE TWO JOBS, I MOVED MY CHILDREN IN TWO A NEW 2 BEDROOM APARTMENT BUT THEN A MONTH LATER I HAVE BEEN LAID OFF DUE TO COMPANY CLOSING AT ONE JOB. SO THE MONEY WOULD COME IN HANDY.

Use to pay down debt. Tired of the harassing phones calls from banks that have already gotten their stimulus that are still profiting from their unfair aprs/penalties. My kids are hollering for junk food took no spring break to neverwhere. Not much for gift giving at christmas. I agree the fuel prices hurt all of us and it put to much debt on us for that and now we can not get ahead with bills that need to be paid. More layoff talks in the news. Who will be spared? Politicians get off your high expense suit tails that have been nicely dry cleaned and get to work for the families of all us consumers hurting severely out here in the U.S.A

If I was granted another stimulus check I would do like all the rest of us working mother get out of the debt we put ourselves in taking care of our children or like me trying to go back to school to get enough education so I can get that job that helps me pay my bill all $1200 worth. So I really need it and it will definitely help me out a lot.

if we got a good stimulus check we would put it toward our home since the constractor didn’t set the house on the foundation and the house is sinking and the walls are cracking.
