Woops, Kept Buying Fast Food
Posted by Cap in Woops, Bought Crap |Been really busy lately so I have been resorting to Jack in the Box for dinner.
I think I’m now dying? Sure feels like it.

At least I get 3% back for using my newly converted Chase Freedom card. That’ll pay for the future heart transplant. Woot!

Forget fast food and go to your local supermarket instead! Most sell quick, prepared foods that are healthier and just as fast. Some supermarkets even have sushi, big salad bars, cold food bars with things like marinated veggies and bean salads, and healthy cold sandwiches.
IMHO, fast food is the epitome of “crap.” ;)

Ya I too am a subject of the Carls Jr. Man just like the ad says. “without us, some guys would starve” but I had recently made the step to go to my local market and Trader Joes and have found out that they have many premade meals about the same price or cheaper, but in turn are 2000% healthier. Plus i notice every time i go there is alot of girls there.

those deli and prepared food at the supermarket are of comparable price (if not more expensive), actually. or at least in my area. but yeah they’re most likely healthier.
I should just make sandwiches + salads and call it a day. throw in some fruits and it’s a meal w/o fuss. just haven’t really bother to go grocery shopping..

A little jack doesn’t hurt anybody (anymore at least). I’d rather drive through jack and get something than go to a supermarket. It’s definitely faster, and even though probably less healthy, it’s good occasionally.
I would watch out for using your credit card though. My friend did that once and they charged the next 5 or so orders to it.

Suggestion…Subway! I eat out for lunch every day during the week but my sandwich is only $2.70! I buy a bag of chips (the multi-pak, individually sized) which last me about a month and my office provides drinks. Even if you get the value menu, its the same price as fast food but much healthier! Usually most Subways are open past dinner time also.

How do you convert your card? I have a really sucky Chase card. As in $400 credit line sucky. I want rewards. I want points. I want something at least!

Cap! “Jack in the Box”????????? Now charges for “In & Out Burger” could be explainable, but “Jack in the Box”….
I sure hope they are somewhat better then they used to be back in the 70′s and 80′s when I lived in California?

hmm not sure. ate them rather fast so didn’t taste much?
sophomore: you can convert your card by calling Chase (# back of card) and ask if you can convert it to a Chase freedom card. they’ll check to see if your card qualifies for a “product trade”
you’ll be able to choose VISA or mastercard, points or cash.. for the VISA/MasterCard choices, I’ll go with whatever your current card is to avoid having to change card # and waiting a longer period time for the account to convert.

Fast food is the biggest leak in our budget. I feel for you!
